Bio

Jennifer M. Sender is a seasoned litigation attorney who has represented clients in state and federal courts across the nation. As a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, she has spent her 33+ practice in the Windy City. She spent most of her first 20 years of practice at a large law firm representing clients with complex business and personal injury litigation. Prior to joining L&FLG, for over a decade, Jennifer used her litigation skills to represent clients with disabilities in their claims of discrimination against public entities under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Specifically, Jennifer assisted clients in obtaining equal access to goods and services, primarily in the areas of healthcare, public rights-of-way, and education. She has extensive experience with trials and appeals in both state and federal courts.

Jennifer has been successful in ensuring that individuals who rely on the use of mobility devices are able to obtain physical access to healthcare providers and are able to receive equal care and treatment through the availability of accessible medical equipment (i.e. wheelchair accessible scales and examination tables and chairs) and policies and procedures addressing accessibility. Additionally, she has been successful in ensuring that individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing are provided with aids and services, such as live sign language interpreters when meeting with their healthcare providers or in educational settings. Jennifer routinely presents to disability advocacy groups to provide information and tools to assist individuals with disabilities to better advocate for themselves.

Jennifer serves as an appointee of Governor J.B. Pritzger to the Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission. She is a past President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of adventures with her four sons. As the mother to a son with learning disabilities, Jennifer is happy to combine her 12+ years as a parent navigating the world of special education with her litigation skills to help families.
